Ben has been the activity director of his family since he was the oldest of four kids. He still is. His own family says the same thing about him now.
He’s spent almost 40 years building on the foundation of a coffee brand that started long before he got there. He’s raising four kids he’s proud of, not for what they’ve accomplished, but for how much they love each other.

1. What do you actually do (in plain language), the way you’d explain it to a friend over coffee?
I focus on building a team with unique talents that can help us evolve and grow the foundations of this almost 40 year old community focused brand!
2. What’s the moment or decision that changed the direction of your life or career?
When my Dad sat me down to ask me to sign the papers to be his healthcare agent, because he was losing his ability to think clearly.
4. What are you most proud of — in life, not just in work?
I am most proud of my 4 kids-that they are good human beings that truly love each other.
6. How do your closest friends or family describe you? Who do they say you are?
My parents have always told me I am the activity director, and that I have been ever since being the oldest of four kids. My own family would say the same, along with the guy who relentlessly focuses them on being present in the moment.
9. What’s the title of your next chapter — in life or in business?
Growth
10. What don’t people know about you that they should?
My parents owned and ran and started in a musical dinner theater for 20 years, all my siblings are musical, and you don’t want to hear me sing.
11. What’s one thing you’re hoping people leave your conversation thinking about?
There is no time like now to connect with other people.
