Christina Drews calls herself a teenage boy stuck in a middle-aged woman’s body.
She said it laughing. It might be the most honest line we’ve heard all month.
She’s a former Community Champion at Purpose Fueled Eden Prairie, and two years later she’s still showing up the same way she did on day one.
This is her.
When did you first walk through the door? What brought you here?
“2 years ago, I was walking into a room full of people that I didn’t know, who made me feel like I had been a part of this group my whole life. I saw the posts on LinkedIn, and it made me interested to see what this community was all about.”
Why do you keep coming back?
“Mick and the community. Mick’s genuine attitude on life, and the community’s open arms, got me at a time of need and have uplifted me through many ups and downs this past couple of years and continues to do so!”
What’s your favorite Purpose Fueled moment?
“Oh wow, so many to list!! I would say the conversations that I am able to have at the tables, that continue on to friendships and connections long after the moment, are what keeps drawing me back.”
Who are three people you’ve met through Purpose Fueled that have changed your life?
“Mick White – Rick Walters Sr., the top two!! Always checking in on me, mental health is real in my life, and they never seem to fail me. Knowing when I need a prayer, or just a message to say hello. They have really stood by my side.”
What’s one thing you’d tell someone who has never been to Purpose Fueled?
“Do it. Get uncomfortable, go be your authentic self!”
How does Purpose Fueled show up in you?
It shows up differently in different people.
“Connections, meeting new people in different walks of life, have opened up my network to help others, and to connect others on such a large scale!”
What’s one thing you’re excited about sharing right now, in your life or your work?
“My oldest daughter is in her 3rd year in business, thriving, and my youngest is going into 5th grade, middle school! So proud to see them both growing into such strong women!”
What’s the title of your next chapter, in life or in business?
“Go for it! I want to say yes more often, time is flying by and I need more ‘yes’s’.”
What don’t people know about you that they should?
“I am very down to earth, a teenage boy stuck in a middle-aged woman’s body! (said jokingly), dirt bikes, snowmobiles, fishing, outdoors is where I like to be!”
How do your best friends, kids, or family describe you?
“Energetic, giving, putting others before myself. Hyper and non-stop!”
Who should find you in this room?
“Anyone looking for a connector, with a genuine heart who opens up their network to people looking for connections.”
What problem do you love solving for people?
“Cybersecurity, and day-to-day IT needs for small- to medium-sized businesses looking to strengthen their cybersecurity posture.”
